Course Overview

Club Examiners are experienced instructors and who have a wide range of instruction and assessment skills supporting the delivery of instructor assessments throughout ScotSAC. The course helps develop the further tools required to perform the role, and explores the role of Club Examiners. Candidates who meet the pre-requisites are eligible to attend this one day Examiner course.

Scope of the Course 

Club Examiners form part of the National Diving Council, carrying out training appropriate to their level of skill.  Examiners may deliver instructor training courses, assess the skills of instructor candidates and assist the NDO with the development of training. Examiners form part of the National Diving Council. 


All divers must satisfy the following prerequisites;

  1. Hold current membership of ScotSAC
  2. Hold a current medical certificate (including self declaration)
  3. Be aged 18 or over
  4. Have been a member for 2 years
  5. Have an active status as a Regional Instructor for at least two years
  6. Have assisted in the running of at least 2 National Events
  7. Have the recommendation of the Branch Committee (via BDO) and Regional Coach
